Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am a very wonderful person to work with. I'm friendly, but brutally honest. I won't let misspelling names, words, or places go untouched, but grammar is the first thing I look for. Do not send me anything that you aren't one hundred percent confident in. If your first language is not English, and you are sending me an English story, please be sure to warn me. I will not rewrite your story for you, but I need to be able to have a basic idea of what you're trying to get across. I will only do CSI stories if you need characterization help, but if you only need grammar and spelling stuff worked out, CSI: Miami and CSI: New York are also good.
If you need a Gilmore Girls, Lost, Prison Break, Without A Trace, Cold Case, House, Bones, Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, or Kyle XY story beta'd, I would be more than happy to do so, though I won't be much for characterization. Message me if you need any other show story beta'd. I'll consider most.
Oh, right. Just so y'all know. I have a pretty intense schedule that only leaves me with weekends to do the fun stuff (a.k.a. beta reading). So, if you don't mind slow results, I'm the chica for you! |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Okay, I excel at:
Characterization for certain characters. I'm good with anyone from CSI, House, Bones, or Prison Break.
Grammar and spelling are two of my best areas. I'm from a long line of writers, so I've been taught by some of the best (in my own opinion).
I'm not sure if there is anything else, but that's just because I can't think of anything right now. |

Um... I'm not really good with dialogue. I mean, I can write it, but as far as helping other people write it, I'm pretty much hopeless. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I will only beta FemSlash, and only Catherine/Sara, Catherine/Lady Heather, Sara/Sofia, and Lady Heather/Sara. I will beta any hetero ship, but am very picky about Grillows, because I don't like it all that much. If you want me to beta a Grillows ship, make sure that you did your one hundred percent best on it. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
No Slash! Especially Nick/Greg. Sorry, just not my cup of tea (durrrr). Oh, and no smut. I'm not experienced, and honestly, I don't think it should be in stories at all. It detracts from the plot (if there is one). That brings me to my next point. NO PWP! |
