Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I write a lot of fiction, both fanfiction and original. I have beta read for several people on this site as well as MediaMiner.org. I can usually read and correct a story in about two days if I'm not to busy. My beta reading style is all about flow, I sometimes re-write sentences (not often) read a little easer. I also like to suggest adjectives (which sometimes results in a sentence re-write). |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I have a very good eye for story flow; I can spot timeline problems easily. I also spot reference (both people and place) problems well. I have been called a "writers writer" and can appreciate a well written story, sometimes I can suggest different plot devices as well as settings that may work better in stories.
I am also familiar with many different types of guns and weapons (knives and knife fighting) so I can give technical advice on those subjects.
My current profession is mechanical engineering, but I have also studied naval architecture and robotic engineering. I am a registered first responder so if anyone needs advice on anything medical they can also count on me to be accurate in that field as well. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Sometimes I miss the obvious mistakes, double words and the like. I don’t know why but sometimes I tend to let run-on sentences slip through (it might be I just can’t think of a better way to reword them). |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I like anime and love to read anime fanfics! Some of my favorites are:

Black Lagoon
Hellsing
Gunslinger Girls
Claymore
Vandread
But I would be willing to give anything a shot!
I will beta read any rating, from K to M no problem. Romance, hurt/comfort, action/adventure are pluses! |
