Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I write my own stories so i want you all to know i wont always be available for beta reading. However i am happy to read any work but i'd prefer it to be Harry Potter fanbased as that is what i write and understand well. I wont help any body with storyline's i'm afraid, as i feel they are personal and always so much better if they are your own, but i am happy to help with all other aspects such as grammar, spelling, the way you word things (especially if english is not your first language) and i may point out any plot flaws i think are obvious but will try not to do so as it may not be a flaw to the writer just my own miss-interpretation. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am very good at grammar, i enjoy organising sentences, paragraphs etc. I also especially enjoy writing descriptive peices and would like to think i have a large range of vocabulary within my grasp. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I have to say spelling is not my best point, however i do use dictionaries and i'm sure between us we can work out any spelling queries. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I have to say i would like to beta read Harry Potter stories; romance, action, horror i don't really mind. But Harry Potter is what i understand best. (Or Robin Hood or Narnia or Heartland) |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I would like to point out that although i am ok with gay or slash ships that an adult child relationship is just slightly over the mark, i'd rather not read these stories please. Sorry nothing personal i'm sure the stories are wonderful it just creeps me out a little bit. |
