I was raised bilingual in English and Japanese, and I can still speak both. As of late, especially this past semester, I have taken a few English classes and have learned quite a bit myself on punctuation. Now, I'd like to share what I've learned with all of you! Let's become better writers together!



How I beta:



I will put comments and instructions-as well as why I wrote them-in bold and have *you* re-edit. I don't just want to fix your grammar/whatnot, I want to help you improve. In other words, I don't just edit;I tell you why all the mistakes you made are wrong so that you know not to make them in the future. This system is not the best, but it seems to work well so-far. If I see something that I think is a typo, though, I would just fix it myself. Other than that, I will guide you and you will fix it.

My strengths...? I'm definitely a stickler for detail. Well, for one, I'm still learning about proper punctuation. I have books from my classes that teach proper usage, but I'm far from perfect.br /

My other big weakness is that I myself, whether in writing or RL, tend to...take 15 words to say what could be said in three. My vocabulary is somewhat lacking, and that is usually what leads me to long-winded sentences. I'm working on being more concise myself, but I'm not quite there yet.br /
