My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
For my age, which I mention in my member profile, I'm considered very good in story writing. It's a hobby, of sorts. I am good in grammar, punctuation and best at spelling. I also know whether a story is racing ahead at too fast a pace or too slow. And this has nothing to do with writing, but I am good at mathematics, so... maybe if your story has calculus or some other kind of formula... |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
If the writing I receive is blatantly badly written, then I will likely not bother to read it at all, knowing that if the user is young they should talk to someone else, and if the member is old enough, they're either undereducated or too lazy to improve it sufficiently before they contact me. And it's abusive to the English language, no less. And to be honest, I am very bad at seeing in-depth into a story. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Sci-fi's my cuppa' tea. I am best at any Pixar film, especially Cars, due to me being able to watch a from a selection of movies at the click of the mouse. There are a few old classics like Independence Day I can watch.
I love crossover fics. They are wicked. Oh, and anything involving May and/or Brendan from Pokemon I like the most. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Anything about Transformers from the original series I have very limited knowledge about. What I know about the Armada series is less limited, but still small. It's the 2007 movie I know best about.
Any of the crossover fics with one or more sides a category I don't know about I can betaread only to a limited extent. I'll research those categories as best I can on Wikipedia, but there's not much else I can find out besides what it tells me.
Don't EVER come to me with a fic with these things:
DannylxTayend (Black Magician Trilogy) fics. I loathe them.
Mack, Doc or Mater (all from Cars) gaining supernatural qualities or in love with someone.
Humanized Transformers or cars.
Drew (Pokemon) as a main character. I know a lot of nothing about his role in the story, and don't intend to find out. |
