Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
My style is simply this: I read each new chapter through 2 to 3 times, making note of any errors in grammar first. Next, I go through again and critique the dialogue/descriptions. I will tell you if your characters are OOC. I will tell you all of the good points and bad points of a piece. I am very blunt, if you like that sort of thing. I work efficiently, and will let you know if I may take longer than usual. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Grammar, definitely. I catch errors in spelling from miles away. Also, as a history buff, I can help you with any points that have to do with that. (e.g. Your story is set 1789 France, but you don't make mention of the revolution. I will tell you that.) Characterization and descriptions are also a strong point of mine. I can help you there. I am a romance/angst writer above all else. I can REALLY help there. |

My flaw? Action. I have no talent whatsoever in talking about sports/fights, etc. I can only help you in grammar on these points. |
