Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I enjoy editing, tend to take a critical outlook on things, and suck at plot ideas. Don't worry, though, I'll still pick all them grammar and spelling mistakes up. I like writing that is clean and neat in appearance. When asking me to beta, first PM me with a brief summary of your story, and don't rush me, please, I do have a life. I can be mean. Like, really really mean. I bite. So if you can't take a little tough love, find someone else, please. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Spelling and grammar are fine. I'm quick to the point, I guess... I also like suggesting how to format a work of writing to reflect its subject. And if you write about depressing, woe is me stuff, I will totally love it and beta it and make it even more depressing and woe is me. I'm a teenager, what can I say? |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I'm really bad at suggesting ideas as to where a plot should go. I usually have trouble figuring that out for my own stories. :P And I call myself a writer! Shame. I also will not beta crossovers unless I am extremely familiar with all fandoms involved. And I can't edit poetry to save my butt. :@ |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Anything. Really. Anything. Pairing, plot, genre, all don't matter, as long as I am familiar with the fandom and it's not a song-fic. If it is well written to begin with, I will probably enjoy it. And by well-written, I mean the characters are not OOC, the dialogues are not forced, and please, for the love of god, don't underline and bold every single word. D:
Yeah. THUMBS UP WHOOT. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Do not send me song-fics, because they technically are not allowed on FF.net, and besides, I don't like reading them because I usually don't like the songs. |
