Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I've been on fanfiction for about a year now. I've been writing stories for years but i never had the guts to put any of my work out there to be scrutinised (I can sympathise with first time writers because of this!)! More recently however i've started publishing some of the stuff i write and i find it really rewarding! I'm a really approachable person - so i'm happy to be emailed work or if its easier for you, on IM! |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm reliable - I spend a huge proportion of my time on the computer - so anything sent to me to be looked at, will be beta'd quickly! I'm also happy to reread drafts of the same chapter as they progress and are improved! I'm very good at spelling and punctuation - whenever i read a piece that kinda thing jumps out at me! I generally read, edit and re-read until its perfect! I have a good sense of humour so am pretty good at comedy fics! I don't criticise people's work - i tend to give constructive ideas on how to improve their stories! |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I am a perfectionist - when i write, if something is not exactly perfect in my mind or isn't how i thought it was going to be, i will re-write until it is! So for that reason, don't be afraid to ignore what im saying - it might just be that my style of writing is different to yours! |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Humour, Romance and Drama are generally what I write so anything along those lines would be good. But i will read almost anything! |
