Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
My Beta reading style is that while I read the draft and change spellings or grammar, I will not change any other aspect of a story. I don't have many expectations but there are some. 1. I will not write a story or even part of one for anyone! I am here only to help with spellings and grammar! Although I will change dodgy sentences and the like. 2. Please don't give me anthin splt lyk ths! I will not be a translator for text language! Thank you for listening to my waffle! |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Well I have a bigish vocabulary and my writing style is heavy on the description. I'm quite good (i'm told) at getting a story to flow well and creating moods, but that's others opinions and not mine. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I'm passable on grammar. I can do most stuff but the really technical stuff gets to me, thankfully though, most people don't go for technical grammar. I'm also a stickler for paragraphs. I'll put them everywhere. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Well I would do most stories, but I prefer the action/adventure genre. Romance is not my thing but i'll give it a go. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Crack fics. I'm not good with slash either, I'm not homophobic but it just makes me slightly uncomfortable. For some reason i'm the opposite of most girls, femslash is surprisingly okay. |
