Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am an enigma that actually enjoys the process of editing, proven by the fact that I meticulously read through my own works multiple times, looking for things that could be done better. I'm more of a grammar/structure/detail checker. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Depending on how much knowledge I have of a series, I keep track of certain details that sometimes people miss. If your story is based mostly in canon, then I will try to point out any details that are incorrect or seem a bit off in relation to canon. I also like to think I'm decent enough with grammar to pick out any errors that occur via typos. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I am human and still in the amateur stages of my writing, so I am not always the best person to ask about quality, as I'll always find something good. My own quality has much room for improvement, and I think I'm average in these terms, so I will only make a comment of quality if it is something I truly feel I have the right to comment on. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I will read almost anything, as long as I have some form of knowledge of a series. Take note that most of these series are anime, although I do watch/read other things as well. I also have a high interest in OC stories, although I will still most certainly beta it otherwise. The series I feel most confident in on terms of detail check/in canon is currently Durarara!, which I will more than likely beta anything for this series. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
As said, if I don't know much about a series, I probably won't beta it. Although I can be a yaoi fan, depending on the pairing, I am probably not the best person to ask about those types of stories, regardless. |
