Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hi, I'm TwistedPearls. I adore reading/writing and helping others achieve the best from their fics. I'm predominantly concerned with Death Note and Ouran High School Host Club fics, as they're what I write (although I will start writing about other stuff too ^.^ hopefully), but I will also beta Harry Potter fics. Swearings and lemons will not offend me, neither will violence Believe me ^.- I've thought it all before. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I believe I'm good at description, adding depth to stories, fitting stories to songs (this is, of course, if it's a song fic) and keeping in character. I find going into a character's thoughts easy - imaging how they would act, or what emotions they would feel is something I greatly enjoy. Certain characters are easier than others, of course. |

I think I'm bad at dialogue (though I get told otherwise. Read some of my fics to check). |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Romance, angst, humour, horror, any mixes. Death Note Pairings : MelloxMatt, MelloxNear, LxLight, LxMello. Ouran Pairings : HikaruxKaoru, KyouyaxTamaki, KyouyaxTwins, TamakixTwins, MorixHunny. Harry Potter Pairings : DracoxHarry, FredxGeorge (to a much lesser extent than the Hitachiin twins from Ouran ^.-), most others. I'm fine with just about all ratings, although I prefer M and T. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I won't beta Adventure fics. I'm bad at them. Trust me. I will NOT read HikaruxHaruhi fics. No way. Same with KaoruxHaruhi. I also won't beta any where the twins are split up. DracoxHermione, DracoxGinny. Don't even go there. XD Same for MattxNear - I can't stand it. |
