Beta Description
Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
First of all, please understand that I am not going to write your fic for you. I'm a beta-reader, not a beta-writer. What I will do is read over your fic, help with wording, plot, writing style, length, and I am great at un-Mary Sueing a fic.

Before PMing me, make sure you have:

a) Made sure that you have gone over it and checked for spelling and grammar mistakes to the best of your ability (90 percent gone).

b) Made sure that each chapter of the fic you want me to reviews is one thousand words long or more.

c) Have no POVs in your fic. There are a few good fics with POVs in them, but since most are pathetic, I'd rather not risk making someone angry.

d) I would suggest taking this quiz to make sure your character (if OC) is not Mary Sue or Gary Stu.

e) If you are using Rick Riordan's characters, make sure they are in character.

f) No bold. I mean, if it's in an author's note, that's fine (but don't make the author's note too long) but while it may be easier to read for you, it is extremely hard to read for the majority of the human beings on this planet which is why books are not in bold. Also, if you want to put extra umph on a word, use italics, not bold.

Sorry if I sound mean, but if your fic is awful, I'm not going to waste my time on it. This is your fic, you write it. I only proofread and give advice.
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am good at pointing out mistakes while enjoying a good story even though like everyone, sometimes I do make mistakes myself. I am also pretty good at making things un-Mary Sue or Gary Stu and predicting what kind of reviews you will get.
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I am not the best at describing battle scenes. Also, do not send me a short story with no plot and and a lot of mistakes. I will fix mistakes, but come on, at least make an effort. I'll help you, but I won't write for you.
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I love any type of Greek Mythology or Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I will also do any Underland Chronicles, Harry Potter, My Sister's Keeper, Handle With Care...etc. PM me if you want to ask about other categories. I'll beta a fic based off of any book I have read, which is a lot. I'm a big reader, so there's a good chance I have read it. For Percy Jackson and the Olympians, I will beta pretty much anything. However, if I see a too-far-gone Mary Sue and it's clear it cannot be fixed without me rewriting it, and the author can't write and makes too many mistakes with spelling and grammar, I will not beta it.
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I actually will read pretty much anything, but please no M rated stories that Artemis, the virgin goddess, would not like, if you get my meaning. Also, I will not beta for people who are not willing to either write or write well. I mean, do not send me a short chapter with loads of mistakes. I know that everyone makes mistakes. In fact, there are a lot of mistakes in my stories that I'm too lazy to go back and fix. However, you need to try, and if in your previous stories (if you have any), every review or every review except for one or two says that you need to work on grammar, don't ask me to be your beta reader. I will also not beta for people who want me to do everything for them. A beta reader looks over the writing, gives suggestions or answers questions, and some even fix minor grammatical errors. A beta reader doesn't write the story for you. If you send me your chapter and it is so horrific that the only way to fix it would be for me to redo everything, rewriting it myself, I will say that I don't want to beta it.
