Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
If I Beta your fic, the only thing I ask is that you are patient and dedicated about your work. When I Betaread I treat the fic like it was my own, and check it through loads of times to make sure that it is perfect. So, please don't expect the chapter back in about five minutes.
I will be quite happy for you to email the chapters to me, or send them me via Doc X. I am also willing to be talk over Windows Live Messenger or Yahoo Messenger about your work if that is what you would prefer.
If English is not your native language.. I will be 100% willing to read your work to make sure all the English spelling and grammar is correct. I am currently co-beta reading for a person who is French, and also beta reading for someone who is Spanish.
All I will say to you is that if you want my help I will help you to the best of my ability. I also expect that you keep in regular contact with me whilst I am beta reading to tell me how you are getting on with your story. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am good at spelling and will spot spelling mistakes in an instant. I am good at characterization, especially in Harry Potter. I also will help you develop your plot and extend your sentences.
My strongest point is description and characters emotions (especially if it is written in a characters POV.) It is something that I find highly enjoyable whilst I am writing myself, and I will bring that to you as I am beta reading your work,
My biggest strength is that I will have tonnes of ideas if you have writers block. I am also enthusiastic about what I do as well as what other people do in their fics.
I can guarentee that I will NEVER EVER give you a bad reply regarding your fanfiction. I will ONLY give POSITIVE and CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISM. |

I admit even I do have a Beta Reader on a Fanfiction of mine as I am no means perfect and anyone who does want me to Beta read for them has to take on board that I make mistakes and I am not perfect. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Harry Potter fics, especially if they are about Tonks, The Malfoys, Voldemort and the Death Eaters, Bellamort, Belladolphus.
I can beta Sweeney Todd fics too. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Sex scenes . I will beta read any genre apart from humour because most characters are OCC and I don't like beta reading a fic that is like that. |
