Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I usually go with descirptive and non-marysue type editing; I like emphaising a characters emotions towards a certain sentence so readers don't get the wrong idea of what they're saying in the story. I like placing actions in between long speeches so it's not all just a blob of dialogue. My style doesn't include playwrighting coz it really doesn't make a good fic in my opinion (I love the already made dramas like Waiting for Godot, Comedy of Errors and Springtime Awakening...good plays hehe)...that's about it. |

I always look for grammer and spelling mistakes (because I'm an freak at correcting errors when my mates fault and I do it to other peoples fics in my head) and I double check my work before I hand back the final copy. |

I don't often pick up on repeated words (eg. He knew the the deer had three eyeballs already) |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Anything on my profile page that I have stated I liked movie/book/tv/cartoon -wise. Anything that is adventurous and interweaves with the main story of the actual thing the character is out of. Au's are fine as well, also anything paranormal, normal, time-travelling (I must say I love reading and writing those kinds of fics), starnge or includes dragons. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I ABSOLUTELY will not do vampire fics especially Twilight!, slashs (I have nothing against gays/lesbians, I have surprisingly many friends who are gay/les actually, I just don't wanna beta a sotry about it. Sorry), a fic full of just smut and no story line, wannabe heroes/OCs, racism (i don't have a problem with religion or sexism, although I probably wouldn't be the best choice for a religo fic :P) or anything to do Bleach |
