Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I will beta-read anything, and everything. When I Beta read, I never change any big sections that need to be changed, but if it's just a couple of words missing, or punctuation, spelling, a change of word, anything like that, I will change it myself - which could be good or bad, you decide. I'll only ever be checking over your stories, and they'll normally be back to you in a maximum of three days. Most of the time, it could just be a few hours, as my computer beeps like hell when I have a new email, and I always check them. I'll beta read for any writing styles, for most sections. If you want me to beta read something, preferbly PM me, and then I'll share with you my email for you to send in your story. I WILL beta read any length stories - anything, seriously. If you're sending me something though, always put fan fiction.net in the subject line, as otherwise I'll think you're someone who is up to something and/or the email contains a virus and I'll more than likely delete it if you don't, or, just PM with details of how else to contact. Believe me and PLEASE trust me with this!! I could take longer than usual some days as I am an archivist on the website, SIYE - A Harry and Ginny shipping fan fic site. Its awesome. Seriously. My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm honestly not being arrogant - but I've been top of my class in English since I was eight years old. Honestly I am not an arrogant person - at least I really hope not. But there could be times when my internet is down, or I'm, ah hem, grounded, and so I won't be able to, but I almost always find ways around these rules. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I can be a bit weak on looking over the misuse of commas, but, I am an English student, so I do check, double check, triple check etc. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I'd definately beta Harry Potter, Twilight, High School Musical, Noughts and Crosses, Robin Hood BBC, Primeval, Zoey 101, EVERYTHING on Nickelodeon, everything on Disney Channel, and everything from the BBC and ITV. Oh, and I am a BIG fan of American TV, so I'll beta read that as well. Seriously! I'll give practically EVERYTHING a chance! I love canon AND AU, but I really hope you do understand that I am completely against incest in any stories and I'll never BETA them. Ever. Unless it's Beth/Rhys from Hollyoaks - I make an exception. I'll beta anything with any rating on it - from K all the way to M. Although I've never had the patience to use a beta, I swear it does seriously improve your stories. Look at mine - I swear they're all crap because I hardly EVER use a Beta! |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
OK I am slightly hesitant against beta reading stuff I have no idea what it is about, but luckily for most, I read a lot of books, watch a lot of TV, and go to the movies with my friends a lot. Stuff I can guarrente I will NOT beta read, however, is Anime, Manga, Cartoons, Comics and Games - so sorry - but there are a few exceptions to the cartoons, comics and games parts, so feel free to send those in and there wil be only a small chance I'll deny beta reading them. |
