Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
My name is TheFifthCharmedOne, or you can call me Charmed/Charmy. I write Danny Phantom, Harry Potter, Pokemon (anime), and Fairy Tail (anime/manga)fanfictions. I am well known on this site by my faithful reviewers, fanfic5, Jessluvsharry, and a few others. If you wish to ask me for help on beta-ing stories, I work well with grammar and spelling which can be a weakness for some new or even experienced writers out there. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
As I said before, I work well with spelling and grammar, as well with improving writing styles. I can also write really good cliffhangers, (just ask my readers). I have a few tricks of how to get out of writer's block or the inability to come up with ideas. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
When it comes to weaknesses, I suppose I'm bad with revealing plots. In many of my stories, I don't make the plot very apparent to the reader; but that's because I can see it in my head. Unfortunately, no one else can see inside my head, so that's something I'm not too good at. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I would prefer these pairings for Pokemon (Pokeshipping Ash/Misty, Contestshipping May/Drew, and Ikarishipping Dawn/Paul Penguinshipping Dawn/Kenny, please), these for Harry Potter (James/Lily, Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione) and Natsu/Lucy, and Gerard/Erza for the Fairy Tail fandom. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I would not beta any slash or yuri stories, not because I'm against it, but because I find it offensive to the characters especially when they're depicted as straight. |
