Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hello, I'm ChipmunkFanatic, but you can call me CF if you want. I became a betareader I love to help people improve on their writing, and try to do that myself as well. I love to read so if you need someone to proof read, see if everyone's in charater, or just get an honest opinion, send them my way! I promise to be honest but to NEVER flame, and to be carful in reading and in critism. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My strength I would say, is to help people keep their characters in, well, character. I can usually pick out when people are in or out of character and then offer suggestions on how to fix that up. I am also a capitalazation geek, and get a little annoyed if names, the start of sentences, or the start of diolauge is uncapitalized. However, I'll always state my opinion nicley. |

I'm okay at both punctuation and spelling, although they definitely aren't my strongest suit. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I prefer humor, romance, adventure, sci-fi, and stories involving music, since I myself usually get inspired by music. I will many times add music to my stories, whether I write the songs myself to be more original and to fit the plot better, or get inspired by listening to my iPod. I also, REALLY like stories with quotes, because I am very fond of making the reader really feel emotion. And quotes are a both easy and potic way of doing so. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Umm, well, I really don't like stories that make fun of a certain character inparticular, since I feel that anyone and everyone in a show is important, and there for a reason. I also don't do graphic sexual scence, since I can't stand to look at them for more than a few seconds, before closing it and being disturbed. I don't particularly have a problem with violence, though. I really do feel a lot more comfortable betareading stories that have pairings I support. I'm a true shipper at heart, and perfer not to read stories that have pairings I dislike. Pairings that I'm nutral on are acceptable though. |
