Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Personally, I am a big fan of comma usage. They make most writing sound much more developed and intellectual. I will read fanfictions/stories of the catergories/fandoms that I am familiar with. These would be Harry Potter, Twilight, Sarah Dessen novels, Farenheit 451, Death Note, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. If you would like me to beta read, I ask that you tell me which catergory you are presenting so that I will know if I can properly express my ideas to you.
I primarily will read any fanfiction of any rating. I do not have conflictions with any subject, rating, or catergory.
I expect the author to accept constructive criticism and ideas. I expect the author to not be offended by my suggestions and offers.
As long these expectations are met, we will not have any problems. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I believe in the concept of style, so that is something I am very good with. Character, along with style, is very important in having a developing career in writing. Vocabulary is also critical, which is something I can offer in betareading.
Helping the author develop a style and develop their characters is something I would be extremely willing to do. It is always my pleasure to help an author find their defined taste. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I find flaws much too quickly, and I am also quick to judge. That is something I continue to work on. My criticism can be offensive, and I tend to find things in the text that were not meant to be put there whatsoever by the author. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Harry Potter and Twlight. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Anything is fine, I would prefer things that I am familiar with so as not to confuse the author and myself. |
