Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I know that my stories often have some mistakes in them. However, when I work on someone else's story, I try a lot harder to make sure that I help to improve their story. I help to make sure that the person's story is flowing well, and that they are using correct grammar and spelling. I also help to give ideas(if the author needs them), as well as assist in any other ways that I can. Plus it helps that for some reason I can usually notice spelling/grammar errors much better on another writer's work. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm best at adding humor to a story(as long as humor is appropriate in the story). As far as I know I'm also good with sentence fluency. I'm also good at character development, and making sure that characters are realistic, not just plain and uninteresting. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I'm not the best at updating quickly when it comes to my own work. I often get writers block, or worse, I have too many ideas for one story. However, I always try my hardest when it comes to others' work. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
There really aren't any stories that I prefer. I will beta anything, although I have to warn you, if I haven't see the book/movie/tv show/game/anime/other, then I may not be of much help when it comes to the story. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I won't beta stories that are written like a script, nor will I beta stories that are either entirely smut, or entirely curses. Those stories just annoy me, so I choose not to write or read them. |
