Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Um...it's dificult to describe really. I guess the main thing is that I'm very cynical and sarcastic and that comes across in my writing. I can be extremely slow on editing, depending on what's going on at the time. :/
Also, I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist when I'm editing; i.e. making sure characters are in character, that the descriptions are right, etc. I'm also very blunt and will not hesitate to tell you when something's off. In other words, I'm not going to coddle you. I also have this odd habit of highlighting things, putting notes in, and making the author change it for themselves. ~_~ |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm good at reading something thuroughly and adding descriptions, especially if it's not your cup of tea, so to speak. I'm also good with manipulative characters and cliffhangers, for some reason. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I don't have very good grammar or spelling. (Spellcheck and gramar check is your friend, people!) And I really lack paitence. If your story makes me lose intrest, I'll stop reading and put it aside. I also tend to put off stories that...really just have too many errors. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I love the supernatural, so anything with that in it is good to me. I'll usually be able to work with a love story as long as it's not too sappy. Though, what I prefer most is a horror or mystery story; something that'll draw me in, even if I'm just editing it.
My preferred fandoms, however, are Harry Potter, Devil May Cry, and Forbidden Game. |

I don't accept many Twilight fics. And no historical fics as I don't have time to make sure that your facts are correct. Sorry. :/ |
