Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I don't know what to say about me as a beta-reader, except that I am one for positive critisism. I don't have a particular style, I read through, fix grammar, somtimes switch some words around to make a sentence read smoother, and make sure paragraphs are as they should be. If somebody wishes to acquire my services, I only expect a warning about what kind of content is in the fic, cause I don't do well with lemon when it catches me off guard, I sort of have to prepare for it. My experiance in betaing pertains to Yoru-girl-nya's stories (or most of them) and The Uchiha Kid's most recent story. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am really good with incorporating individual thoughts into text so that one doesn't have to italicize or something to show thoughts. I am also really good at puncuation, when it comes to grammar, that is my strong-point. For a girl who always recieved Cs, I always aced puncuation, past tense, capitalization, qouting, speaking, etc. Anything that really falls along that line. I am also superb at changing sentences, or rewriting them, to make them sound better and read smoother. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Vocabulary, sometimes I come across as having a large vocabulary, but I really don't. So, if you want to fix vocabulary mistakes, I am not the beta for you. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I love character romances within animes, especially the touching ones that aren't exactly all about the make-out scene. I love those stories! Adventure ones are fun to do, too. I love mysteries, and angst. Ok, I love all the genres, I will do anything, I have no preferences. Don't have couple prefferences. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Yori and Yoai (if I have that right. Might have spelled the last one wrong.) I have nothing against it personally, but usually people choose the strangest couples and they never settle right for me, for some reason. I can handle reading some of that stuff when a person writes it right, but it is a very hard subject to write...so yeah. |
