Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I can honestly say, that I think I know how to write a good story, because I have written my own book and it'll be released soon.
Well to that... I really love to read stories on f.f.net, but sometimes I'm really disappointed when it comes to spelling and other things.
There has to be a certain quality in the story for me to correct it. I'm definitly not going to correct things that have no sense and/or plot behind the story.
Something like that is absolutely horrible and people who write something like that should really think about getting a life.
In other words I just correct/read though stories that meet my expectations. I don't have to like them, but the quality must be there.
My style on the other hand is simple:
If you want me to correct/read trough one of your stories, you just have to send me a message and maybe the first chapter of your story (if you haven't posted it already). Then I will give you my answer as fast as I can. After that you'll get my mail-adress and then you just have to send me the chapters I have to read trough. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm definitly good when a story has to be enthralling or dramatic, there I can give lots of pointers. I really love stories where the main charakter and his friends or foes are different than in the books, anime or movies. To read trough something like that is a real honnor! |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I have a little problem with comma (those are nasty little budgers) but otherwise I think I'm good. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
German and English Stories of Naruto, Harry Potter, Inuyasha and Twilight.
(But feel free to ask me when you write a story about something else.) |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Cartoons, Comics, Games, TV-Shows and Misc are definitly not in my preferrences... I just don't like many of them and I can honestly say that I'm a little prejudiced when it comes to any of those things.
But really... things like Spongebob are just there so that the kids grow more stupid every day! |
