Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am a well-read person, and a stickler for punctuation. I have a very high vocabulary and I always look for new words to describe events, people, objects and emotions. I am still young, and in school, but I have a ridiculously good grasp on the English language, and Spanish and French as well, though not to the same extent. I want to help people out who have trouble expressing their ideas formally and in a fashion that makes them enjoyable and easy to read. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I have an awesome vocabulary and I have a good grasp on punctuation. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Grammar would be my one weakness, I guess, considering I have no patience for horrible grammar and usually give up if it's below par. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I prefer a longer, more descriptive story, with well thought out dialogue and in depth characterizations. However, I realize that not everyone writes this way, so I am open to at a bare minimum of well thought out storyline and at least intelligent dialogue. The rest can be corrected or improved on. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I do not like stories that are full of run-on sentences or make too many comparisons or use the word 'like' to often. I absolutely will not correct any story that appears to be written by a six-year-old with a computer. |
