Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hi there! I'm a fully-qualified copy-editor and proofreader, more commonly known to the internet community as a beta reader! :D Oddly enough, this is an area of publishing that I am very passionate about, and I believe there's no bigger blow to a reader than being jarred out of a storyline by an irritating typo or misplaced punctuation. I can be as critical as you need, from skimming for minor errors to characterisation flaws. Also, I'm more than willing to prioritise beta work, so if you need something done quickly, that's not an issue! ^_^ |

My main weakness is plot - I don't like to interfere too much, because I feel that the plot is the writer's prerogative. Also, I won't touch characterisation unless I know the fandom intimately! |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
On occasions, I like to beta romance, though I can be pretty pairing-specific, so I'll let you know if it's something I'll look at. However, my preferences are definitely angst and hurt/comfort. Conversely, I also enjoy fluffy/WAFF-y fics. In fact, I'll really beta pretty much anything! :D |

Absolutely will not beta Main Character/OC romances. No Mary Sues or Gary Stus here either, thanks! XD Additionally, while I enjoy reading some of the more... ah, sexually graphic fics, I prefer not to beta them. |
