Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'll help with spelling, grammar, plot ideas, story lines, planning, all that jazz. Basically what a beta dose.
A warning: I'm can be picky with the content in the stories I beta. I personally think that betas do the best work when they read a story they enjoy.
However, I won't hold your hand and say you can do no wrong because I like your story. Betas don't do that! We're here to help you and maybe make your story greater. I'll tell you when something needs work, give you a fresh point of view, and help you connect with the reader.
No whining or getting offended! If I don't point out something before it's posted, a flamer will. So hear it from someone who wants your story to succeed, your beta. But defend your point, convert me to your side. As a beta, I'm your critic, your reader and your audience. If I'm still iffy on something, either take my advice or don't. It's your story! I certainly won't take anything personal, so don't you either.
My general style is to use the quick and easy DocX feature on this site. I'll make the connection after you've contacted me. Confirm it and send over your first chapter.
I'll anecdote it in red, purple, whatever color font. I'll anecdote on everything from making little comments, such as "Clever!" "I'm confused." "ooh, I like that line.", to little questions, like "Why'd he do that?" "Would Vegeta really do that?"
And you don't need to answer those questions, that's just me wondering. I assume you'll answer them as the story progresses. However, If you think it should be obvious, then it might not have been clear in your writing. Those notes are just to let you know what the reader thinks immediately and if that's the reaction you wanted. Know what I mean?
At the end of the chapter all make more notes, try to explain any problems I had with the story, tell you what I really liked, basically review the whole thing. Then I'll send it back to you. You'll delete the comments as you read them, find them helpful or not. Take my suggestions, or not. If you do change something based on my suggestion, fell free to send the changed document back to me and I'll look over it again. We can do this as many times till your satisfied with your story. It's all about you.
If you have another style, if you don't want me making anecdotes, just tell me. We can proceed however you like.
In the end, I'm hoping we'll both improve our skills. I'm a agreeable person, laid back and friendly.

My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Characters. I think I have a good hold on what Kishimoto's characters will do and what they won't do. However, if you want Sasuke to be all smiles and sunshine, kissing babies and handing out chocolates and money, I'll help you get him there. Canon is to be respected, it is not doctrine. We are writers, the gods of our worlds. Nothing is impossible. (In short, I support crack!)
Beside that, I think I'm pretty well rounded with action scenes, emotion and dialog.

Sentence structure, I have a habit of starting them with the word "but".

Naruto is my preferred Fandom, but any series I have checked.
Romance, just a iota will have me holding on.
I love crack pairings, Sakura/Anyone especially.
I adore all Akatsuki members, especially paired with Sakura - but not necessary.
Team centered fics (any team).
