Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I love reading and proof reading, and like attention to details. I'm very sharp when it comes to proof reading. I can help with awkward sentences you may be having trouble with. I can also get back to you fairly quickly as I am online everyday. I also like to beta read for those whose native language is not English. I like giving suggestions on stories too, and how you can improve, if the writer is okay with it of course. I will give you criticism but I am very nice about it, so you don't have to worry about getting your feelings hurt or getting angry! Oh, and please make sure you use spell check first! That's what it's for. I get really annoyed when people misspell over many words that can easily be fixed by using spellcheck.br /br /br /br /

My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Proof reading, spelling, grammar and punctuation, good with details. I like both long and short stories. I prefer chapters that are 1000 to 5000 words each, but will be happy to beta less or more than that. I always try my best to make sure I check everything thoroughly. |

Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I'm fine with almost everything. Any genre, but I like romance and angst the best. I like Yaoi the most, but I'm perfectly fine with het and yuri, and like them both. I'll do Mpreg, rape and sexual scenes. I'm basically up for almost anything. I also will beta read for categories that I don't have listed. I read a lot of books, and watch a lot of anime, so just because it isn't listed doesn't mean I won't do it. However, the categories I have listed are the things I am most comfortable with, and know the most about. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
There are certain pairings I just cannot stomach. If you send me a request, please just run by the pairings that will be in your story. Simply ask me if you think I may not like something. I don't like genderbender fics. I also prefer not to read a tragedy (where the main character of the fic dies at the end) but I will probably beta it anyway. Things I will not do at all, and no exceptions; I hate OC's/Mary Sues/Self inserts, so don't even bother asking. I also hate furries. |
