I'm a very meticulous beta who looks for two things above all: characterization and grammar. Those are some of my top strengths, and I'm rather nitpicky about them. If you don't want a beta reader who will pick your story apart, in terms of both grammar and overall story elements, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. I like to believe that I'm picky, but fair. I believe strongly in *constructive* criticism.

To start with, just PM me with a general idea of what your fic is about (length, genre, pairings if any, and a brief plot summary) and exactly what YOU want to get out of a beta reading--whether you just want a grammar/spelling check, or intricate criticism of your story's plot and characters. That'll give me something to go on and ensure neither of us wastes our time.

Please let me know if English isn't your first language! That will change how I edit grammar, punctuation, etc. Also, if you're going to be using foreign languages in your fics, I'm somewhat proficient in French and Latin, and would be willing to proofread those for you.

And lastly, I'm more than happy to work with any OCs your fic might bring to the table--although I will be picky about their characterization and development. I'll do my best to fix Mary Sues/Gary Stus, not create or enable them.

I'm very good at dialogue, and keeping characters in character. Grammar is another particular strength of mine. I also have a bizarre memory that allows me to remember small details and quirks of canon and characterization, so I can check over fics for inconsistencies easily.

Writing for small children--so for Psychonauts especially, I'll be a better beta for fics featuring the adult characters, or the campers at an older age. And while I will gladly beta for slash fics, I do have to admit that they're not my strong suit.

At the present time, I'd prefer not to take on any overly long WiPs or finished fics--let's say nothing over 35,000 words. So shorter, multi-chaptered fics and one-shots would be best.

Also, although it's not listed as a category here, I will gladly (gleefully, even) beta Full Throttle fics. Otherwise, see the fandoms listed in my profile.

Please: no Elder Scrolls fanfic that falls outside the realm of Morrowind. While I am somewhat familiar with the ES lore outside that game, I haven't played Oblivion (or Battlespire, etc.), so I'm afraid I wouldn't do a very good job with a story set during, say, Oblivion's time period.

No poetry, although stories that somehow make use of poetry are acceptable. Absolutely no songfics. And as a general rule, no crossovers, although I might be willing to make an exception if an idea seems particularly promising and involves fandoms I'm familiar with.

For Psychonauts: no overly emo/Goth/cutter Sasha fics. And no camper/counselor pairing fics unless you can *really* pitch me your idea.
