Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I've been around on the site for some time and if you look at what I've written I have grown quite a bit in my writing style. Although I haven't had a chance to beta a story before, I could always take some time and look through a story for both grammar and content. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
When I get down to it I can be pretty meticulous about word choice, grammar and syntax, but usually I tend to read through the story once or twice and catch a few errors, glaring or otherwise |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I tend to be busy sometimes, and may have problems with keeping a consistent schedule (college student and all that) and I'm not a huge fan of English classes although they have helped a lot. And commas, I really, really don't like commas. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I'm a huge fan of crossovers, esp weird ones, and I like familiar characters in new situations. That being said, I still enjoy good fanfics, and if it has a gripping plot line I will love to read it. Character development is always a plus |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
No yaoi, male slash etc. One shots are kinda iffy. Weird random-insanity fics, maybe but they have to be good. |
