Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm very much a critic, I will not be afraid to tell you how it is. I will never straight out say mean things though, I do not want to discourage you from writing. the way I critique is by saying something good before going on to the be fixed aspects of a story.I am also quite the hypocrite, for warning. I try not to be, and I am happy to read almost anything and everything as long as it's not too much in one aspect of emotions, for example, its just a bunch of perfect romance. I'll need some drama, maybe an arguement... |

I am good with plot building as well as grammer. I know how to make a story flow, and how to point out places where it goes into "gray area". I don't want you to confuse anyone here. |

I am not the best speller, nor can I read your mind. I can't help one figure out what to do next, or "climb" over that writer's block. I get it all the time. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I prefer reading things I will understand, such as something I have a little background story to. I can read horror, and am not afraid to. Please, I'd love to see you try and scare me. :D I also love humor! |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I do not read super sap, in other words extremely romantic stories. It might destroy my mental stability. I do not do the stories that go into stupid things, such as the characters running around and always being high. I get extremely annoyed with it after a while. Humor can only be taken so far with me. Do not have yourself trying to make every other sentence amusing, that is annoying too. Flat characters... I can't throughly enjoy it with those. You may have a few, because minor characters are almost always flat, but try to not have flat main characters... That is just no good! |
