Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hey!
Alright, so this is my first time ever as a beta, but I am and always will be an author first.
I like reading fanfictions, and I ADORE reading Anime/Manga and Video Game fics. My style...Hmmm, I will correct what I believe is wrong, but I try to be as considerate about it as possible. If I don't understand something, I'll ask about it before ruling it out completely. My expectations are for good stories - no one send me something horrid. I can and will rip it to bits, ^__^ |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I know what my favorite characters would and would not do, so I would say I'm pretty good at helping others stay in character. Let me mention that I report for a living, so gathering information is what I do. I won't make a decision about your story without knowing the background of it - like what you want it to say, how you wanted it to say it, and if there's room to change it. I'll work with you. |

My weakness will probably be wanting to word phrases and sentences how I like it. Sometimes, I do that because I'm an author first, but remember this is your story - not mine. You may have to remind of that, on occasion. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I prefer to read romance fics from Anime/Manga, Video Game, or Cartoons category, but I'm open to all genres of them. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I'd rather not read boy/boy or girl/girl couple stories. I'm afraid I'm a little bit too closed minded to appreciate them at their fullest. In addition, I can only read certain fics under the TV Show category and Movie, I've seen some, but I don't know if any of them are fic-worthy. |
