I've been writing fic for years, and have had a lot of experience as a beta. I prefer to beta stories I like (always nice to make a good thing better), and will happily beta anything from oneshots to multi-chapter.

I work solely through email (initial communication can be by PM, but that's it; I've attempted to beta through PM *once* -- never again!). [Update: I'm open to trying that new DocX thing, if anyone would rather do that than email attachments, but I'd still prefer the easy familiarity of email.]

Also, I am a college student. I can be expected to be busy with homework or exams when those come around, and will do my best to let anyone I'm betaing for know if I'm anticipating real life to get in the way in the near future.

Mechanics. That is, spelling/grammar/punctuation.

Characterization. Oftentimes the author has had more recent experience with the fandom than I have, so I expect them to know the characters at least as well as I do.

Not particularly, but I generally prefer gen to romance-y stories. If you have a ship, though, any ship is fine (slash, incest, etc).

Nothing in particular, but please, don't send me a "bare bones" story and make me fill in description or whatever. I don't want to have to write your story for you.
