Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I tend to beta as I read, and if there are mistakes I usually let the author/authoress know even if I'm not beta-ing for them. My style is the basic, quotation marks, peirods, etc. I often help with basic things, and I tend to check things with others before I completely finish beta-ing. I've been part of this site for seven years, but I've been reading for nine years. I also have 70+ stories posted that range in generes. I ask that you ask me then check in with me often because it's your story and you are to be making sure that I know things like your hatiuses and
discontinuations. I also ask that you make your pm's for this to be very detailed. Like the name, couplings, where you plan to go with the fiction, your ideas and worries and problems, how I can help you, and other things like that.

My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm at college-level writting, I took College Prep English in high school and am now into my second semester of college. I tend to mostly find spelling mistakes and help with the format of the writing. I always make sure I know what the writer wants to say before editing anything and I always check over what I'm doing with the writer to see if they're all right with my beta-ing. I can start and end a story often. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I can do most grammar, but there is a few pieces of grammar that I actually tend to over-look, but that's why I always tell the author/authoress to check it over one last time. I can never do my own grammar (for some wierd reasons), but I often catch other people's mistakes, even if I'm not trying to. I seem to suck at writing the middle of my stories though the beginning and ends are completely planned. XD;; |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I prefer to beta fandoms/couplings that I know, such as Kingdom Hearts, LeoSora, RikuSora, AkuRoku, RokuSor, AkuRiku, Zemyx, XemSai, LeoCloSeph, etc. But I have no problem if it's a fandom/coupling that I at least know SOMETHING about. There are some things I will NOT do, such as RikuRoxas, or anyone else with Riku rather than Sora or Kairi (if it's a SoRoku story). |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Basically anything where I don't know the storyline or the coupling. I'll be VERY hesitant about couples from fandoms that I don't like.
On a further note: If you read my regular profile, you will see the couples I am more than willing to work with. However if you see I cannot stand a coupling(example: RikuRoku of KH) that is in your story, I will not beta it because I don't feel comfortable with them as a couple. |
