Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Anyone submitting fics to me needs to realise that I'm a nursing student and might not have the fastest turnaround. I don't want to fight anyone, so the writer needs to be very open to whatever I recommend or edit -- I'll take place in civil debate, but I have no interest in a clashing of the titans. I'd probably be sending back Word files with comments added or printing and scanning edited pages. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
As a former ESL instructor, I have a very good grasp on grammar, spelling and style. I am a nursing student and have a huge medical library at my house, so if there are any medical errors, I would be more than happy to fix them. |

I get bored very easily. It takes a lot for me to actually read a fanfiction and not just skim it. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Huddy fanfiction with a strong medical basis and medical mystery, Red Eye fanfiction with believable Lisa/Jackson, Twilight fics with absolutely no Bella or Edward. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
No slash, not hugely fond of beta'ing sex scenes, fluff annoys me so I'd rather not read it. |
