Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I like beta-ing. Feel free to sent a request if it abides by my rules, which are generally speaking, the type of fics I read. See... if I don't like it, I prolly won't beta it. My main fandom is Phoenix Wright. When I beta, I will correct all your spelling errors/typos that I come across, and if I suspect something is a typo but not quite sure, I will make a note asking about it. I do comment on dialouge, if something seems a little OOC, I will say so. Sometimes I make suggestions to reword sentences/paragraphs, and bah bah -- I like my wording being perfect myself, so I try to be the same way with my proofreading |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm good at pointing out OOC statements in a character-to-character conversation and internal dialouge, hence why Phoenix Wright is my best fandom! I pay attention to detail and I like solving puzzles... so hand me a mystery and I should be able to keep up. I'm good with character psychology and development. I am an EXCELLENT speller. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I can be bad at spotting relationship hints within a fic, which is why I like being informed beforehand what ships the fic will contain. I overuse hyphens and semicolons. Sometimes, I may procrastinate with work or abandon it alltogether [but I assure you, you'll be the first to know when that happens!] if you don't have a clear scenebreak [like a horizontal line] I will be utterly confused, especially if tenses or POV changes, or if you go into a flashback. Mark it! |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
General: Original fanfic ideas. Generally I like slash or femslash, and the longer the fic is, the more I enjoy it.
PW: I don't like fics that center around a fancharacter too much. Fancharacters can be included, no misunderstanding; they just can't be the protagonist, or the "I am a lawyer here is my story" type fics.
Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon stuff preferred, or Pokemon-only fics. If it includes people, I like Volkner.
DBZ: Saiyanssss and I really like slash
Megaman: X, Ryuusei or EXE only. Prefer Japanese names. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
PW: Nothing involving Iris or Dahlia [unless it's Iris/Dahlia], NO Edgeworth/Franziska, no protagonist lawyer fancharacters
Pokemon: No made up regions badge collecting type fics
Inuyasha: NOTHING INVOLVING KIKYOU BEING NICE. Especially to Inuyasha! I hate Kikyou.
Megaman: No Rock/Roll in ANY series!! Ever!!!
DBZ: No het please |
