Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm slow to work and can be slow to reply due to a number of factors. If you need quick action, I'm not the idea beta for you! If that's okay, I'll need to know what level of concrit you want from the start, whether it's general thoughts or me forking everything down to sentence structure. Unless you've just asked for thoughts or a typo check, I'll leave [notes in brackets] or some other punctuation you wouldn't use in-story containing suggestions, possible rewordings, and so on. If you'd prefer another system, let me know. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Details, sentence structure, general nitpickery. I used to be good at working over action scenes and could likely make an attempt at it again. I like shorter character-driven stuff, and will try to spot where you're wandering out of point of view/focus if you're trying to keep it tighter for that. For Zoids, specifically, I'm best with battle story, UK comic, and Fuzors. I can also do /Zero and sorta CC/GF, though CC/GF I'm weak on continuity details. Genesis I can really only beta the fic itself. |

I don't usually have the stamina for longer fics beyond giving quick thoughts and feedback. However, if that's all you want or you just need a few scenes nitpicked, fire away. While I'm sometimes able to spot continuity errors, fixing them isn't always my strong point, especially in larger and more complex stories. Smaller problems within single scenes, I can handle. |

Shorts, oneshots, and character pieces. They make me happy. So do queer characters, but that doesn't mean I'll balk at het either. |
