Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I believe anyone can write. Some people just need to be pushed in the right direction. My methods are really just suggestions. I don't want to make a person's work my own. Everyone has their own creative mind. It is not my place to form it into my own, so I like to suggest things. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My strenghts are characterization and plot. I'm the kind of person who can't read stuff that has no character depth. A person can be a fabulous writer, but have flat characters. In my own work, I spend a lot of time deeping and focusing on the characters I work with. Also, a plot line needs to be there and somewhat interesting. If you need suggestions or some pointers in having a creative plot line, I will love taking up the job. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My weakness is grammar. A lot of the time I do not catch miss spelled words and grammar mistakes. If a sentance or paragraph does not sound right, I will most likely not be able to come up with a great answer. I'm a horrible speller and depend heavily on my spell checker on the computer. Some people are just that way, and one of them is me. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I like good action stories with fight scenes or weird and strange plot line stories. Anything that is out there and creative I tend to eat up. But I'm open to various types of stories. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Love stories I tend to get bored with. I won't say I won't read them, but I'm not open to soap operas and stuff like that. |
