Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm pretty easy going, love to read and spend a lot of time helping others. I will read just about anything and do my best on grammar, formatting, spelling etc. I am honest and will do my best to answer questions, and point out what you need help or work on. I don't have any expectations really, all I ask is that it is legible, and respect me if I can't do something. I may turn down a story because of something that is not in my knowledge such as the genre, etc. I usually have a fair amount of time to read over things, always looking for something to keep myself active. :) |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My strengths are spelling, paragraph formatting and catching errors. I'm fairly decent with grammar, catching things that make no sense or noting when words are missing. My main strength is catching mistakes in others writing, because I don't stare at it for hours a day trying to fix everything like my own. Its new making it easier for me to catch those errors. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My main weakness's is in my own stories, I tend to miss the most obvious of things until I go back a few weeks or months later. I try to exercise my skills and do my best but even I make mistakes and won't deny this. I admit that my own stories need work and I will fix them when I can. I go back and notice a lot of mistakes in them and work them out a little bit at a time, I plan to do this with my main copies and once that is done (which will take quite a lot of time) I will redo my chapters. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I will beta anything but something I have no knowledge in. It wouldn't do me any good to beta something I don't know the story, background etc about. One section I would rather not beta is games, i don't play enough of them to really understand the story lines. |

Other than Games, I'm willing to give anything a shot. As far as I know there isn't anything I mind reading, if that ever changes I will be sure to add it here. |
