Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I have been writing for over 8 years on my own, in many genres of fanfiction and beyond. I have always been crazy for the written word, in its many shapes and forms. I have helped other writers in working on their stories, and collaborated on several. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I get along well with everyone, so I wouldn't have a problem working with most people. I establish my stories in pieces, yet they eventually have a coherency I hadn't consciously thought of. I have a lot of education in English and writing, I've taken a lot of courses as well. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I can be overly enthusiastic about a story, unintentionally looking past some of its faults. I can take a little too long writing a story, feeling like it's not good enough to be posted yet. I'm more judgmental of my own writing than others. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I would like to read for the genres I read in, though it's not necessary. It's of more benefit if I know what the characters and established canon is like. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I would prefer if you have some editing done on your story before hand. If there is an insane amount of bad spelling and grammar, I will return it to you and request you polish it before I continue. |
