Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
If you want me to beta-read something for you, please either send me a PM with a quick description of your story and what you want me to do, or email me the file along with an explanation as to what you want me to do. If you don't know how to email me a file using FanFiction's system, just PM me your request and I will send you my email.
I am fairly strict when it comes to spelling and grammar, but what I care most about, in terms of language use, are flow and mood. If a story doesn't flow well, that will raise my ire. If a story is written using just one mood, I find it boring.
Having said all the above, however, I am perfectly cheerful reading almost any piece of work. I don't consider myself close-minded and you can be as conservative or outlandish as you wish, with one exception: I cannot stand stories that trash other perspectives, such as a story which focuses on how evil abortions are, or how anti-abortionists should go to hell.
One last thing: While I will read stories that involve rape, I only like the stories that at least involve the involved characters starting on the path to healing. If you are going to write a story involving rape and just leave your character completely broken, I'd rather not read it, though I might make an exception. |

Stories that are, for lack of a better term, meant only to cause orgasm. If you send me one of those, it had better have AMAZING imagery, or I'll send it back as ashes. I'd also really only like to read stuff in English, but if you want me to beta something in Latin, I'll do it, but my Latin is kind of rusty. |
