Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I haven't actually done any beta-reading before, I believe, but I wouldn't mind trying to do it for various people here, if I happen to see certain stories that might actually benefit from my input on them well enough, in fact. Please see below for my basic expectations of what I would like to see from you, if you wish me to beta-read your various stories here, people. It will save you a lot of time and effort if you do so well enough, I'm quite sure. More information later, as needed or desired, by the way. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Spelling, vocabulary, and grammar, to at least some degree. Others may be present as well, but I might not be able to remember them at the present time, at least. If I do so later, though, I will post them here, if and whenever needed or desired, of course. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Perhaps rather wordy, dialogue often needs work, too much detail at times, at least, if not any other potential problems of mine as well. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Ones with clean language, if and whenever possible. Stories with no fornication, adultery, smoking, drinking, et cetera. Preferably no stories with male/male or female/female "romantic" relationships, please. Stories featuring friends of the same gender might be quite acceptable, as long as that's all they remain as, by the way. More information later, I suppose, as I see fit. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Stories primarily featuring things that are drastically different than my above-listed preferences, of course. No primarily anti-American, primarily anti-Israel, or anti-Judeo-Christian ones, either, if and whenever possible, for that matter.
