Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
If there's only thing I can promise you, it's that I can say I will read your fic from start to finish. Everything deserves a chance, right? I feel that if you've taken the time to choose me as your beta-reader, I should give my time to you, no questions asked. When I read, I'm pretty thorough. I wouldn't say I'm incredibly harsh, but I will be critical and honest where necessary, but don't let that put you off. I have a habit of letting people know the good sides of their work as well as the bad sides, so I can assure you that you won't recieve a huge list of negative points about your fic! I will be quick yet thorough with your work, and you can expect to see it returned to you at least within 3-5 days of sending it. My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I have a keen eye for spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors, and in that sense, I am somewhat of a perfectionist. I should say characters are actually my favourite element of a story, so if it's character development and sustainment you want checking up on, I'm your girl. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Personally, I waffle on a little bit when I write. So if I see you doing the same thing, I'll probably cut you a little slack! Also, I'm not very tolerant about things I don't understand. Hence why I'm so specific about the categories for which I beta-read. If I read a fic from something I'm not interested in, I'm not being fair to the author - you won't get my undivided attention, which is what you deserve. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I love to read RenxHoro fanfictions from the Shaman King genre. In fact, any Shaman King fic will do! Send 'em my way. I like to read shonen-ai and shoujo-ai fics most of all, but I'll pretty much read anything else going. Romance and drama make me smile. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
The only things I can't stand are Naruto and Mary Sues. So if your fic contains either of those elements, you'd better steer clear from me. |
