First of all, you should know that I am an English Literature major; this means that I read a lot, and I won't stand for improper punctuation or numerous typos. Anyone can make mistakes with puncuation or typing--even me, of course--but when the mistakes are glaringly obvious, they must be fixed. That's what I'm here for: perfecting your grammar to the best of my ability and giving you feedback on your writing as a whole. When I read, I like well-rounded and complex characterizations. I like exploring the characters as the vehicle for the plot. When I beta, I do tend to focus on how well or poorly the characters are being developed. I would suggest that anyone wishing my services for beta-reading writes--or wishes to write--well-rounded characters. I also prefer, for multi-chapter stories, that there is an outline so that while writing, the author does not forget what has happened in the beginning or what is coming up. The ability to take constructive criticism without becoming upset is necessary, because if I feel there could be improvements, I will say so. You will recieve praise where I feel it is required.

I also dislike OC's, so unless they are kept to a minimum, I would prefer not to beta stories which include them as a main character.

I am very good at catching grammar mistakes and fixing them. I am generally very good at keeping characters in-character. I am best at writing and beta-reading angst, romance, and spiritual stories.

I am not good at remembering what has happened in earlier chapters, and thus an outline is an absolute must so that I can keep track of the plot.

I would prefer to beta stories that are very character-centric, but plot-centric is fine as well. I don't mind betaing heterosexual relationships or slash/shouen-ai/yaoi stories.

I would prefer not to beta mysteries, horrors, crime, Western or suspense stories. I do not want to beta stories for the Cartoons, Comics, Misc., Movies, Plays/Musicals, or TV Shows archives. I would also prefer to not beta femslash/shoujo-ai/yuri of any sort.
