Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hi. I've beta'd a few times, mostly for RL people, and not fan fiction, but experience is experience, right? I'm usually really quick at getting back to you about your story. I WILL NOT fix your mistakes, but I WILL tell you what needs to be done and why, so you can see what needs doing and learn for yourself.

My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I can edit a LOT better than I write. I'm a spelling and grammar nut, and I will go to absurd lengths to make sure a character is IN CHARACTER, including rereading the entire series, just to make sure the characterization is correct. I am honest, but fair. I am good at consistency-making sure that the story doesn't contradict itself. I'm good with style, and useful for helping flesh out the details. I can usually tell you exactly why something needs to be changed. I'm good as a sounding board, and will happily help in that area as well. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Lemons are hard for me-I have no experience in that section. XD Also, I'm not the greatest with action scenes. The most help I can give on those is spelling/grammar, and for flow. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I'll do pretty much anything, as long as I feel I know the fandom well enough. If there are pairings, I'll do slash, but I'd prefer het pairings, just because I'm sick of the glut of M/M in fandom. |
