Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
All I ask is that whoever wishes my help, they have an open mind, willing to admit certain mistakes that may need change.
While I would be a beta-reader, I also offer personal assistance in improvement toward excellence in grammar and rhetoric. I do not just want to be needed, I want to help.
In the case that you are not serious, don't even ask for help. I have precious little free time, and so I'd like it used wisely not waiting around to see if someone really wanted my assistance. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My greatest strengths are spelling, sentence structure, word choice, and punctuation.
I do not stop in making sure something is correct. In my own works, sometimes if a chapter feels unprepared after I have posted it, I will re-read, edit and re-post until I find it suitable.
Also, if a story has a few words of French, Spanish, Latin, Italian, Tagalog, Japanese, or Chinese included; I might be of help. And if I do not know the correct translation, I do have friends. I'm multi-cultural. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I may get absorbed in what I read and sometimes pass over mistakes. Even in my own works. But I work to catch mistakes the first time through.
As I said in the strengths section (because this can be construed as a weakness), I don't often stop to make sure something of mine is completely correct. I tend to be really analytical, so when I feel I've gotten it right, I type. Then I edit again and again. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I will take anything offered, just as my tastes in music, art, and novels, I will take anything thrown at me.
I'm open, if you are too. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Not Applicable. No, I am fine with anything. I love all tea, by the way. But high-antioxidant fruit flavors are preferred. |
