Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I would like to beta simply because I really do enjoy reading fanfiction, and would like to become more involved with the stories that I am reading.
When I beta for an author, I try to share in the author's enthusiasm and truly help him/her transform his/her ideas into great stories that will give many people enjoyment.
My only expectation from the author is to be privy to the information available to the author, to know what we're working for while writing. |

I am quite good at dialogue, and am very good with grammar and punctuation, etc. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
My biggest weakness is that I am not very good at fleshing out my own writing. I have problems with describing everything in detail. While it deters my own writing, it shouldn't cause too much of a problem when I beta, because I can still point out places where detail is lacking. It all depends on the style of the writer. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I really enjoy beta-ing Harry Potter, but I would like to beta for any book series that I have read (and I've read quite a few). |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
There are only two things that might cause me not to beta for a story:
1. A canon that I know absolutely nothing about
2. Slash, etc. |
