Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I've never beta-read anything before, but I think it would be good experience. I'm a Com major with a concentration in technical writing. I copyedit for my school's newspaper, so I love grammar and editing and all that. I've also been writing fan fiction for a LONG time, so I know what I'm doing.
If you need help with grammar, spelling, punctuation, and/or sentence structure then I'm the one you're looking for! =) |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Definitely Grammar. I copyedit for my university's newspaper, so this is what I love to do. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Dialogue. It's just so awkward trying to write lots of dialogue. I'm more comfortable with descriptions and narratives. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Depends really. I watch a whole lot of TV and Movies, so I'm generally into any type of genre. I like to write about what I know a lot about, so any of the shows/books I've already written for would be easiest, since I know all my facts about those. But I really don't mind reading something different. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I tend to not like crossovers. If it's a live action tv show crossed over with a cartoon I won't be interested, because I can't really play that out in my head. Other than that, I think pretty much anything is game. |
