Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
There are styles of beta-reading? Huh, never knew that. What I do know is that I do my best to help make sure the story flows well and keeps mostly to the character's personalities. If you pick me to be your beta-reader I would ask you to please let me know what genre you're going for, whether or not it's supposed to be on the absurd side, or if you're intentionally making a character Mary-Sue for satirical purposes. Just general information about what you're trying to do for the sorry and I'll see about helping you make it the best possible product. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Good at continuity, most types of dialogue, grammer, spelling (for the most part) and line of thought, and I think at least decent on keeping the non-original characters in... well, in character. I write a lot of twists, humour, romance, and action for the most part. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Sometimes commas give me issues, and my infinitives are almost always split. haha I don't know lots of different languages, so if you use phrases from some other language I may not be able to help in that department. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Romance, homour, and action are the ones I mainly write, but I have a background in sci-fi/fantasy and horror as well. I've seen more movies that are listed on this site than I have read the books listed, so movies might be a little better. However I'm willing to try almost anything to help out a fellow writer. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Unfortunately (and this may turn many of you away) I am not a huge anime-watcher/manga-reader. I think that's about the only thing that I can think of that I haven't worked with |
