Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
As a beta reader I will be critical, but will tell you specifically what I think is the problem. You may or may not agree but please dont be offended, because I am here to help you in peer reviewing and I am not criticizing your ideas. Everyone has a unique way of writing and I respect that. I hope I can be of service and together we can become better writers.

My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I excel in grammar, as far as I'm concerned. However, I think everyone has a different way to set up a chapter, so what I would do is help you out in setting up the chapter/story into the most smooth possible way.
I also excel in thinking it through and making sure it sounds "believable". For example, do the characters follow their personality, or could this have happened in the story. I do know the anime and games listed thoroughly so I have an understanding of their characters and such. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I am a beginner at writing quick action scenes, like battle scenes and fighting scenes :P so that is not my strong point at writing, however I know a good fighting scene when I see one. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I think romance, adventure, action, and supernatural (unless its a metal gear, kaleido star, last exile story, I don't think supernatural would fit) Also I find stories with characters created by the author(you in this case) very enjoyable and will gladly weigh in my opinion and support. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I do not like AU stories. Stories that keep the character intact but take them to a whole new place (example: Inuyasha is a drug lord and Sesshomaru is a cop after him, or everyone in Last Exile live in a High school setting, or Metal Gear characters are in a medieval setting) Like I said before I am more into making ends meet inside the stories. Filling in the gaps in a way, or just follow up on the ending of that story, things like that.
Also I wont read any female with female pairing or male with male pairing or family with family pairing. Just not my cup of tea :) |
