Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am an extremely active and avid reader, I write a LOT but rarely publish my works. For a BETA, I can be whatever you want really, my style is to nitpick grammar and sentence structure first, and leave rather lengthy comments and critiques of the piece at the end. I can help rewrite if needed, bounce ideas back. Really whatever you want. I love both reading and writing. |

I read 5-6 hours daily which makes me somewhat of a fanatic with literary pieces, and such things as editing become easier. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Lazy. More or less sums me up, however when I want to get something done I do it right away with a lot of effort. But when things do not have a priority, I can procrastinate quite a bit. BETA'ing remains to be a high priority as long as the author wishes it to be so. If the author does not show much concern nor appreciation for my help, I am somewhat reluctant to give it. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
All right now the interest part... I will start with the stories I despise being a BETA for however that will not stop me from being one if the author really wishes me to... Yaoi... I'll be honest with you, I hate it. I hate it becaues it's VERY rarely done well. Most of the author's are attention seeking little brats putting little effort into an actual story all the while demanding feedback and appreciation. Canon... Another thing I hate. When an author makes NO changes to the story line or characters expect me to completely disregaurd it entirely. I would rather watch the anime than read your unoriginal 'stolen' work.
Stories I will gladly BETA...
The darker ones. Being a Dark writer myself, these come more naturally to me, so expect a lot of effort on these ones. Yuri.. This will have to be well done, or expect me to treat it like I would Yaoi. Romance... When done correctly these stories are truly amazing and give us all those happy joyfull feelings inside, yet when done to soon or when a romantic pairing becomes cliche, there can be little done to change it.
