Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader

MESSAGE asking for the form I ask my beta's to fill out for me to possibly accept their request.
I'm a fairly good editor when it comes to grammar, format, repetition and much more. I like things to be spaced out nicely to make them easier to read. I'll read just about anything anyone is willing to send my way and I'm welcome to new experiences.
As expectations, one thing I will kindly ask is for you to use complete words at all times, unless it's a title or something of that nature, or an instant message conversation in the fiction where the characters DO write that way.
I despise script format stories with a passion, HOWEVER I will help people who want a script format story written into a normal format. If you plan on keeping your story in script after it's Beta'd... I'm the wrong person to come to.
If I don't like the pairing, I will tell you out front, but that doesn't meant I will discredit against it because of that.
I color code my changes so you can see what has been changed. I also change the file name to make saving easier for you so you'll have both copies. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
-I'm fairly good at grammar correcting and overall format.
-I'm good at fixing repetition as well.
-I also believe I'm good at fixing plot situations where the plot is slowly unraveling.
-I LISTEN TO WRITERS REQUESTS.
-I give long, in detail reviews as well (if and when requested).
-I have a wide range of stories that I'm willing to read and review.
-I colour-code what I change so you can see the differences.
-Changing script format into book (aka story) format. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I guess that reading just about anything can be considered a weakness if you really think about it. Other than that... I don't see myself as having any true weakness. (Not saying I'm perfect, but who is? I'll add some when I think of them, seriously.)

Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I prefer stories from the below listed, however, I will tend to read others.
-Pairing stories are preferred, seeing as they tend to have plots. Pairing gender doesn't matter... guy x guy (Yaoi), girl x girl (Yuri), guy x girl (Hentai), I'll read any of them.
-ANIME stories are preferred, but as you see below, there are some games, as well as books and movies, I'll read those as well.
-Besides Anime, ANY of the listed Final Fantasy's I read a LOT of as well.
-Besides that, I'll pretty much read anything else, if it's not listed in the below section, if requested. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
-I'd like to stay away from slash stories if possible, but I will read them if requested.
